Springing for Seniors
The Junior League of Panama City’s annual Springing for Seniors drive was recently held to collect items for the area’s seniors. For the third year, we were proud to partner with the Junior League’s Elderly Outreach Committee by having our branches serve as a drop-off stations for donations of toiletries, food, blankets, cash and other items that fulfilled wish lists for 107 seniors who are clients of the Bay County Council on Aging.
According to the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, more than 13% of Bay County’s seniors live below 125% of the poverty threshold. We are so very thankful for all of the donations we received from people in the community, our members and staff.
